Montana Phase 2 Reopening

Montana is currently in Phase 1 of reopening our state amid the COVID 19 pandemic. Phase 2 will begin June 1, 2020. Read the full details on the MT Governors Task Force page . In Phase 2, the 14 day self quarantine will be lifted allowing visitors from other states to enter Montana without having to self quarantine. People may gather in groups of less than 50 people when social distancing is not possible or maintain 6′ social distancing. Restaurants, bars, breweries, etc will be allowed additional capacity in their establishments. Read more about the Phase 2 reopening plan and what is allowed and recommended. Masks are still encouraged and those who are immune compromised should take extra precautions in groups, stay home when possible and EVERYONE should continue to practice handwashing and take measure to prevent the spread of COVID19.

As we enter Phase 2 our office will be open to the public again. We will be taking extra measures to disinfect surface areas regularly, limit the number of occupants in the office at one time and provide hand sanitizer. We recommend that if you do not NEED to visit the office to use other methods for payments such as the drop box, mail, online pay, autopay or call to make your payment. Lease agreements and autopay agreements can be emailed and signed electronically. We are working to add Rent Online to our website!

We hope everyone stays healthy and safe as we proceed into the next phase of reopening our state! Please contact us with any questions 406-222-2101.

Community Masks for Livingston

masks by Maranda Lee

Montana is entering Phase 1 of opening the state after the COVID19 Shelter in Place ends. Governor Bullock announced and detailed multi-phase plan for re-opening the state of Montana. Retail locations, restaurants and more are allowed to open to the public following strict guidelines such as the 6′ social distancing. Masks are still recommended when in public.

Over 100 people in our town of Livingston have banded together to cut and sew masks not just for our healthcare personnel but for our community members. Knowing this is a difficult financial time for most of us, they are making masks available for FREE to community members in Livingston.

Are you in need of a face mask? Please contact Robin Addicot with the Park County Environmental Council 406-222-0723 robin@pcecmt.org

Thank you to everyone who has helped sew 1000’s of masks for our healthcare workers, essential business employees and our community! We are truly blessed to live in this amazing community of Livingston!

Sewing a Surgical Face Mask

from sarahmaker.com

We have an amazing community in Livingston, MT. In about 1 week our community has completed and donated over 500 masks to Livingston Health. While as of today we have a total of 4 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Park County, we are preparing for those numbers to grow.

Livingston Health requested a very specific mask to be made. We have cut and prepped fabric and materials needed for these masks. You can reach out to us at Allied Storage for more information if you would like to help sew these masks. Then download and print the pattern here: Livingston Health Mask Directions and Pattern

Our community will need masks too! As recently as today, counties around the country are asking people to wear a mask when out in public such as when they go grocery shopping or to the doctors office.

Helping our Community

Local organizations and people are coming together to offer assistance to those in our community affected by COVID-19.

While as of now we have no cases of COVID-19 in Park County, Livingston Health Care has an Emergency Response Fund to help address the emergency or disaster related medical needs of our community. The website also shares ways you can help and things to do to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Livingston area churches are offering assistance with food delivery, grocery shopping and laundry services! Find out more at coronahelplivingston.com

The Livingston Food Pantry is offering food boxes. If you can volunteer or if you need food assistance contact them for more information. No one should go without food.

Bozeman Healthcare has also set up a community fund. Locals in Bozeman have created a place where people who are elderly or immunocompromised can be matched with volunteers who can help them by running errands or going grocery shopping.

HRDC and the American Red Cross are also offering assistance and taking donations.

Get all the information and find links to these organizations in this article provided by XL Country radio.

Together we will get through this! We hope you and your family stay safe and healthy!

Beat the Boredom

The past week has been full of changes like we’ve never seen before. Our government is taking unprecedented actions to keep us all safe amid the spreading Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. We are all encouraged to practice social distancing, schools have been closed sending millions of kids home where in many households parents are also home now unable to work or working from home. While I am helping kids finish schoolwork in the morning, the fact that we can’t just head to one of our usual activities like bowling, skiing, baseball practice or ballet or even visit our friends, begs us to ask the question “How do we keep ourselves and our kids entertained during this time?”

  1. Learn a new skill: Take up crochet or knitting. Order supplies from amazon.com or michaels.com. Google you tube videos to learn. One thing you might consider is crocheting cotton washcloths to wash dishes with if you use disposable sponges.
  2. YouTube videos to learn how to play an instrument or a new language. Or checkout duolingo.com and become fluent in another language.
  3. YouTube a yoga class and do it with your kids, dog or cats!
  4. Take a walk with the kids. If you’re in snow country, build a snowman or a snow-family. Have a snowball fight. Practice your batting swing with snowballs.
  5. Order takeout and support your favorite restaurants. I am personally loving the option to order food and pickup curbside!
  6. Draw something. Pinterest is full of how to draw tutorials. I’m no great artist by my youngest love it when I draw something we find on Pinterest then they color it.
  7. Clean out your closets, cabinets, garage. Get ready for an epic garage sale season.
  8. Teach your dog a new trick, sit, roll over, play dead, shake…Montana Dog Company is offering online training courses!
  9. Visit the national parks online and through documentaries offered on Netflix.
  10. Plan a vacation. Research a route, places to stay and things to do for a road trip so you’re ready to go when traveling is allowed again.
  11. Write letters to your family…the old fashioned way. Have the kids draw pictures and help them write notes to their grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. Put it in an envelope with a real live stamp and mail it! The people on the other end will love getting a little something special in the mail.
  12. Read a book aloud with your family then watch the movie for family movie night!
  13. Start crafting. Joann.com and Michaels.com has lots of ideas, projects and online classes to join in the fun. You can even order supplies and pick them up curbside.
  14. Go for a drive. Get out of the house and take a drive. Play the ABC game: find all the letters in the alphabet while driving. letters could be on signs, buildings, license plates etc.
  15. Visit a museum…virtually Southern Living compiled a list of 12 museums offering virtual tours
  16. Visit a zoo like the live feed at the Sidney Zoo

We may be restricted in what we can do beyond our homes or in activities that we just recently enjoyed, but we can find joy and entertainment in new ways. Who knows, maybe you’ll find that you enjoy life even more!
