Frequently Asked Questions


Q: What size units do you have?

A: We offer units from 10’x10’ up to 10’x 50’ as well as outside parking spaces.  See our UNITS for more details.  You may also Rent Online.


Q: What documents are needed to rent a unit?

A: For storage units, we require a copy of a government issued photo ID (example: driver’s license or state issued ID). In addition, for parking spaces or units containing vehicles we require copies of vehicle registration and proof of insurance.


Q: Do you provide locks? Do you keep a key to my storage unit?

A: We have new, sealed locks available for purchase or you can provide your own lock. You are the only one with a key to your unit. We recommend using disc locks.


Q: Do you sell moving supplies?

A: Yes, we offer a variety of boxes, tape, bubble wrap, rope and more in our office.


Q: Do you have drive up units?

A: Yes, all of our units are drive up which means they are on ground level and you can drive up to the door to unload/load your belongings.


Q: What is a roll up door?

A: Roll-up doors are like your garage door. They roll up providing a wide tall area making it easy to move large items in and out.


Q: Do you offer RV/Boat/Vehicle storage?

A: Yes. We have a total of 7 acres between two lots which can accommodate outside parking. Parking spaces are designated to accommodate UP TO 25′, UP To 35′ or UP TO 40′ vehicles.


Q: Do I need to reserve a unit in advance?

A: To ensure a unit is available when you need it, we recommend reserving your unit in advance.  Units are available on a first come first serve basis.  To guarantee a unit is available when you need it, we recommend you rent it today!


Q: Do you rent space month-to-month?

A: Yes all of our leases are month to month. You can pay for your unit in advance and may even qualify for a long term discount.


Q: Do I need to give notice when I’m moving out?

A: Yes please give 30 days notice in writing so we can ensure you do not incur unnecessary charges. On the day of move out, please remove your lock, remove all items and trash and sweep your unit clean. Be sure to let us know when you have vacated your unit.


Q: When can I access my storage unit?

A: Lot A and B are fully fenced and have a keypad entry gate to allow you access to your unit 24/7 any time of the day with your personal access code. An optional gate app is also available for tenant use.


Q: What are your office hours?

A: Our office manager is available Monday-Friday. You may call during the week to rent a unit or make an office appointment. We are always happy to work with you via phone & email to help get you into your unit.


Q: Do you require insurance on my stored goods?

A: We strongly encourage you have insurance on the items stored in your unit or on the vehicle you park in our outside parking spaces. Ultimately, you are responsible for the items you store. You may be covered by your homeowners or renters insurance policy. Check with your insurance agent. Insurance may be purchased from Tenant One Insurance .


Q: What are the facility Rules?

A: For the safety and protection of our Tenants, Managers and facility property, Allied Storage has a set of  Rules & Regulations.


Q: How do I pay my bill?

A: We accept cash, check and debit and credit cards. There are several ways to pay your bill:

  1. You may sign up for Auto Pay with your credit or debit card. Your monthly rent will be withdrawn on the first of each month and you never have to write a check, lick an envelope or buy a stamp! Call to sign up for Auto Pay or download the form here. Automatic Payment Agreement
  2. Pay Online  – Available for current tenants, you can login and pay your bill online at your convenience. Your login information can be found on your move in welcome letter.
  3. Pay by mail. Send your check to ALLIED STORAGE, 21 Business Park Rd, Livingston, MT 59047
  4. Pay in person at our office located at 21 Business Park Rd, Livingston MT. There is a drop box for your convenience

Remember: Rent is due on the 1st.  We do offer a grace period.  Be sure your rent payment arrives by the 5th to avoid late fees and restricted gate access.
